About Ben Jonson Primary School

Ben Jonson is a three-form entry Community Primary School located in the heart of the Ocean Estate and borders on the edge of Mile End Park and the Regent’s Canal. The modern building has recently been extended with a new wing to offer even more superb facilities and specialist areas to support the children’s learning.

The school is maintained by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We have currently an intake of 450 pupils. Most pupils are drawn from the local Bangladeshi community. Others include Somalian, English and Afro-Caribbean. The children are admitted from four to eleven years of age.

Hello, I have just found your interesting web site – I joined Miss Beard’s class in the very new Ben Johnson School in 1956. I am happy to see that it still offers a great learning experience for today’s children.
