Staff all helped out to make sure the event ran smoothly and our wonderful kitchen staff served over 800 meals in an hour and a half! By the end of lunch huge smiles and full tummies were on show for all to see! Thanks to the whole school community for making this such a successful event.’- Charlie
Persian Class’s Elections
BREAKING NEWS
This week in Year 4, Persian Class have been learning about politics and democracy. At the start of the Establishment Curriculum, students were invited to apply for a variety of positions within Persian Class’s Cabinet.
A cabinet is a group of people in government that do important jobs for the country. Once applications were in, sixteen students were shortlisted for interviews. As a class, we studied speeches of well-known politicians to look at what it takes to be a good public speaker.
The candidates left in the process then presented their arguments to the class, putting across why they thought they were the best person for the job. When presentations were finished, all students in the class decided on which people they thought deserved the roles. Finally, pupils headed to their local polling station to cast their vote.
This was a democratic election; everybody is entitled to a vote.
