A war hero remembered.
Our recent blog post showed you pictures of the unveiling of a memorial stone in tribute to Corporal Alfred Drake, which children of Ben Jonson attended.
Our school has received a lovely letter from members of Cpl Drake’s family thanking school and especially the children for their contribution to this event.
If you would like to find out more about Corporal Drake, his heroic act and his connections to Stepney and Ben Jonson school, follow the link below to read the article published by East End Life:

Loggia now finished!
The loggia outside the Reception classes has now been completed. This is part of our ongoing improvements in and around the school. Reception children and their parents have now access to a covered corridor along the classrooms which will give them shelter during bad weather.
A pumpkin to behold.
Pumpkin competition winners from Ben Jonson were invited for afternoon tea at the Shard.
